Beim PV 5 sind lange und dünne Noppen mit einem harten Schwamm kombiniert. Allerdings sind die Noppen recht hart und knicken daher nicht so leicht um. Dadurch können die Bälle mit sehr viel mehr Druck gespielt werden. Der Ballabsprung bleibt beim Blockspiel sehr flach und so fällt dem Gegner das Nachspielen erheblich schwerer. Insgesamt ist der Curl P5V so recht leicht zu spielen, der Störeffekt fällt aber auch nicht so stark aus, wie beim P1V.
